"Now after careful consideration of the matter, the State Government in the School
Education Department has decided that a student, who has secured at least 70% marks in the aggregate and 75% marks in Science subjects.and Mathematics taken together in the Madhyamik Examination Under the W.B.B.S.E. will be entitled at his/her option to get admission in the Science Stream in Class-Xi from the same institution from where he/she has completed and passed the Madhyamik (Secondary) course and examination provided the institution is a Higher Secondary School and that it has appeared Science stream at the Higher Secondary level. all news from Government of West Bengal School Education Department Higher Secondary Branch."
