Raiganj College ( University College )
Raiganj College (University College) was Established on 1948. This College is one of the biggest Colleges in the North Bengal of West Bengal. Raiganj is situated in Raiganj of West Bengal state in India. The College has been taken over by the University of North Bengal in 1968 as one of their University Colleges. The Raiganj College ( University College ) volunteered Grade B+ for institutional accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore. This College imparts Undergraduate education in Arts, Science and Commerce. There are altogether 12 academic programme options with 15 Undergraduate Courses like English, Bengali, Sanskrit, History, Philosophy, Political Science, Economics, Geography, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology, Computer Science and Micro-Biology. Newly introduced courses are Computer Applications (BCA) and self-financing Post-Graduate courses in Bengali. This college also offers Ph.D. Programme at Department of Botany, Chemistry and Physics under the University of North Bengal.
More We say the Important Facilities for student from this College:- Recently, this college has introduced two new courses under self-financing scheme and they are BCA and Master of Arts in Bengali.Regular M.A. In Bengali stated from the academic session 2003 - 2004, under the University of North Bengal. In addition, the college also offers Ph. D through its departments like physics, chemistry and botany. The college also recently opened a sericulture department with support from UGC.

Rajganj College is operating as a study center for Netaji Subhas Open University and through this several courses are offered through distance education mode.
Reservations :-
Seats are reserved for admission of S.C., S.T., and O.B.C. Candidates as per rules framed by the State Government. Seats are also reserved for admission of the PH candidates as per NBU rules.
Free Studentship :-
A good number of half-free studentship are made available to the meritorious but poor students. For this, every year applications are invited from the students and after judging their merit and financial conditions, students are given half-free studentship.

Application for admission is to be made in prescribed form, which is available in the college office on payment of prescribed price for General Courses and additional prescribed prices for each Honours Subjects, in cash on all working days after a notification made by the college. Selection of the Candidates for admission is made strictly on the basis of norms laid down by the Admission Committee of the College following NBU guidelines for the Under- Graduate Courses.
